Amy Forster, Vice President of Finance at Thunderbird, manages the accounting department at Thunderbird and leads the company's financial staff in the complex day-to-day operations of a multi-faceted organization. Her results-oriented approach to business and deep experience in acquisitions is an ideal fit for Thunderbird as we continue our focus on taking American manufacturing companies to new heights.
In her 30-plus-year career, Amy has developed extensive expertise in financial management, treasury management, strategic planning, SEC reporting, internal controls, debt compliance, planning, corporate governance, external audits, tax strategy and compliance, and ERP systems. Throughout her career, she has been involved in numerous acquisitions in key roles, including due diligence, and post integration restructuring to build best-in-class accounting organizations and financial systems.
Amy joined our team from ExteNet Systems, a private equity–owned neutral-host provider of converged communications infrastructure, where she served as vice president and corporate controller. Prior to ExteNet, Amy spent the majority of her career at Westell Technologies, a provider of network infrastructure solutions. At Westell, she held a number of positions, including chief accounting officer, vice president controller and chief financial officer. Amy started her career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen after graduating from Marquette University with a bachelor's in accounting a month after passing the Illinois CPA exam.
